This policy explains how Paviga (“we”, “us”), available at paviga.in, handles personal data when you use our reel editing service. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
1. What we collect
- Account data: your email address, and if you add them, your name and phone number.
- Your content: videos you upload, the script you provide, change requests, and the edited reels we create.
- Speech data: a transcript of the words spoken in your video, created to make captions.
- Payment data: pack, amount, order ID and payment status. We do not store your UPI PIN, card or bank details.
- Messages: what you send us through the contact form, WhatsApp or reviews.
- Basic technical data: login sessions and logs needed to keep the service secure and working.
2. Why we use it
- To create, edit and deliver your reels and change requests.
- To run your account, credits, orders and login (one-time email codes).
- To reply to support questions and process refunds.
- To prevent fraud and misuse, and to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your data, we do not post your videos anywhere, and we do not use your videos for advertising. A reel is shown on our website as a sample only if you give us clear permission.
3. Service providers we use
To run Paviga, some data is processed by trusted providers, only for the purposes above:
- Supabase: database, login and private file storage.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- ElevenLabs: speech-to-text, to turn your audio into caption text.
- Google (Gemini) or Anthropic (Claude): AI that prepares captions and the edit plan from your transcript and script.
- Resend: sending login codes and account emails.
- WhatsApp (Meta): when you choose to chat or pay with us there.
These providers may process data on servers outside India, under their own security and privacy terms.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your account data, uploads and reels while your account is active so you can download them again. You can ask us to delete any reel, upload or your whole account at any time, and we will delete it within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (for example, payment records for tax purposes). Temporary working files on our editing machines are cleared automatically.
5. Security
Your files are stored in a private space that only your logged-in account can open. Access is protected by database rules, and download links expire after a short time. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and will inform you and the authorities of a serious breach as the law requires.
6. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and get a summary;
- ask us to correct or update it;
- ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent (this may mean closing your account);
- raise a complaint (grievance) with us, and if not resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Children
Paviga is meant for people aged 18 and above. If you are under 18, please use Paviga only with a parent or guardian's consent.
8. Cookies and local storage
We use only what is needed to keep you logged in and to remember your theme and language. We do not use advertising trackers.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. For major changes we will tell you in your account or by email.
